I feel like a Frockstar when I wear my Karina Dress! Never heard of a Frockstar? Neither did I until I checked out Karina. You can read the full Karina Manifesto, but to sum it up, it is basically the way Karina dresses makes you feel – like you can do anything, go any place, and do it all with style & grace.
Karina Dresses offer what they call “Best Fit” or a style for everybody! Not only do they show you the different body shapes, but they also have a list of what dresses they offer to complement that shape.
- TRIANGLE ~ fuller hips, smaller top
- INVERTED TRIANGLE ~ broader shoulders or fuller bust with smaller hips
- RECTANGLE ~ hips, bust, and waist are similar size
- OVAL ~ waist and bust are the same sizes with smaller hips
- HOURGLASS ~ curvaceous, full hips and bust
The dress I chose was Ruby in Green Tiles. This was my first review, so I wasn’t sure how it would fit. But this was “the summer of the new me” (in case you missed it, I vowed to wear more dresses). Once it arrived, I did notice that the color seemed a bit different than online, more of an olive green than a brownish green, but I loved it; I liked the color much more! The green went more with my skin tone. Once I slipped it on, I didn’t want to take it off; it was so comfortable and roomy.
I wanted to go outside my comfort zone, so I went with a sleeveless dress with a faux wrap and an attached sash. The sash is pretty long; it comes down to almost the bottom of the dress. You can tie it several ways, but I liked mine in a bow. I received mine just in time to take with me to the Blogher Conference and wore it the first night (see images below). I love the way that I look in it. While it is a bit more accentuating on the top, I love how I feel when I am in it! Karina dresses are all machine washable, just hand dry, and you do not need to iron them…another reason to love Karina Dresses!
