You might remember (or at least I hope you do!) that I worked with Everyday California a few years ago for our back to school guide. I received a tee called Midnight Mermaid that at the time was a super soft material. Several washings later, I think it has gotten softer! This time around, I selected two fall pieces that I love, love, love!

Everyday California Made in California

If you are not familiar with Everyday California, the founders started out by renting kayaks and then opening a store dedicated to the California lifestyle, a lifestyle they wanted to share with the world. According to founders, Chris Lynch and Michael Samer, “California represents the beach, the breath-taking beauty of Yosemite, the trees from the Sequoia National Park, the glittering lights of Hollywood, the rugged rock formations of Joshua Tree, innovation from Silicon Valley, fine wine in Napa Valley and most importantly second chances, personal renewal, and entrepreneurship!”

I selected the navy, or blue tide as they call it, Hickie Sweatshirt ($52). It is one of these sweatshirts that as soon I saw it, I knew that it is was going to be a cozy soft sweatshirt for me to kick around in this fall. It does have an extra wide neck so I would wear a tank or tee under it. It is made from eco-fleece and is lightweight, great for the cold in the morning, warm in the afternoon, chilly in the evenings we get here in Cincinnati! I ordered a medium and will say that it is a bit snugger than I prefer as I do not like wearing clingy tops so a large would have been a better fit for me. But my hubs says I look great in it, and I should go a size smaller! 😉

Next, I selected the burgundy Corningstones ($52) tailored lounge pants. I love the color! Fall is my season, so I am all about the dark, rich hues! I really wouldn’t call them sweatpants, as they do not have fleece on the inside, they are actually made from a french terry material. The pants also have the Brutus the Bear company logo embroidered on the front. Again, I went with a medium (I am 5’6″) and the length was just right, but since they are tailored, there is no give so I could not pull them up to my calves. These will make great “lounging around the house because I don’t want to put on real going out of the house clothes!” You know what I mean!
