You never know that the weather will be like in Cincinnati, but you can bet on the occasional pop up shower! And even though it might have rained, my kids baseball games are usually still on. So you can imagine how nice and muddy the fields are, plus just trying to get to the fields can be a pain especially after it has rained.
This is where a great pair of rain boots come in. I don’t know why I didn’t think of them before…this is actually my first pair of rain boots that I have ever owned!
Nomad Footwear has continued stay true to the origins of their company, passionately striving to create shoes that not only provide comfort, but also original styles and versatility to all of its loyal customers. Creating fashionable sandals, flip flops, flats and rain boots that any free spirited-girl would love to journey in, it’s no wonder why people everywhere choose to “wander off and be a Nomad…” ~Nomad Footwear
Nomad offers a wide variety of rain boots including ones that look like cowboy boots. But I decided to go with some spring rain boots from the Limited Edition Artist Collection called Puddles III – Bon Jour.
These boots feature a special limited edition artwork piece. Each custom-made art piece has been hand painted by M. Nicole van Dam. I went with this because of the vibrant yellow and red/orange flowers, hoping to bring a bit of color to an otherwise dreary rainy day. But also because it reminded me of my trip to Paris featuring a scene with the Eiffel Tower and gardens. The Puddles Series III is also available in three other Limited Edition styles: Lake of Dreams, It’s Spring and Chef at the Farmer’s Market, each a custom work of art.
These boots do run large so I ordered a size down from what I normally wear and they fit great! The boots feature water-resistant rubber, a non-slip sole along with a buckle on the side. I am glad to be a proud owner of a pair of rain boots. I can hit my son’s baseball games without fear of all the mud and puddles!
